Paradise Poker Review

Paradise Poker
and their standing as one of the pioneers is something all poker
players will appreciate. They first opened their doors in 1999 and
helped set the benchmark for online poker. In 2007 Paradise Poker
moved to the International Poker Network and updated their software to the
contemporary look seen today.

Paradise Poker’s
game variety ensures good attendance in all their tournaments and
a good take up of their ring games.
Recent figures show an average of over 3,500 real money ring game players
connect to the site each hour, with that number exceeding 7,000
during peak hours. Overall player traffic is stable with a small
amount of growth.

The site is managed in a positive manner with support quickly responding
to enquiries. There are numerous deposit methods and cash out is usually
processed within 48 hours.
From the lobby
The cool lobby design is uncomplicated giving easy access to all that Paradise Poker
has to offer. Multiple tabs give access to all tournaments and ring games.
Individual cash games, sit and go tournaments and scheduled
tournaments have their own sections.
Sit and Go tournaments
Single table sit and go tournaments for 2, 5 or 10 players are
available in the common betting limits, plus 2 and 3 table events.
The S‘n’G’s begin from a €1.0 entry up to €10,000. Plenty of micro
players find their fun here with games €5 or below occupying half
the take up.
The medium level buy-in games attract plenty of participants, plus
a good number of higher buy-in players regularly selecting games in
the €20 to €50 range.
Scheduled tournaments
The schedule features a good balance of regular freezeout,
guaranteed, re-buy/add on and turbo tournaments, as well as a
selection of satellites and freerolls.
Typically over 600 players take their seat in a €1+10c, NLH €1,500
guaranteed re-buy and around 250 players will begin a €10+1, NLH
€6,000 guaranteed re-buy. At the higher end, up to 200 players go
for the €50+5 NLH €25,000 guaranteed re-buy.

Ring games
Cash tables best suited to the player can be easily found in the
lobby or by using the quick play feature. That menu divides all
the games into general type, betting structure and stakes. There
is a good take up of seats in the low and medium levels and enough
action at the high end for most players. Tables are available in
many currencies including USD, EUR and GBP.
At the table
The software works well with smooth, reliable action. There is a
choice of full screen play, four colour decks, audio adjustments
as well as language and local time settings.
The logical table layout is familiar and easy to work with. Action
buttons allow players to place bets at pre-set amounts or use the
slider to increase bets, or may enter any bet amount in a text
window (provided limits allow).
Check boxes give players the opportunity to pre-set a betting action
if they make an early decision, plus other common check boxes which
allow players to sit out, fold to any bet and auto-post their blinds.
