Sit and Go tournaments
Sit and go tournaments are only open to Texas and Omaha (including
Hi/Lo) players and are played in the common betting limits. As well as
simple heads up action, there are double up, deep stack and turbo
games on offer. The S‘n’G’s begin from a $0.10 entry up to $5,000.
Plenty of micro players find their fun here with games $4 or below
occupying half the take up.
There are plenty of participants in
the medium level buy-in games, plus a good number of higher buy-in
players frequenting some of the games above $100. If you have a
spare half hour and fancy just watching a game or two, look out
for the $200, $500 and $1,000 turbo games; they are all action and
not for the feint hearted.
A cool section of S‘n’G’s are the jackpot games where if you win
a small number of them consecutively you are awarded a worthwhile
cash bonus (see the tournament lobbies for details).
Scheduled tournaments
The scheduled tournaments are well attended in all buy-in ranges.
There is a good mix of guaranteed, freezeout, re-buy and turbo
tournaments as well as a selection of satellites and freerolls.
Typically around 1,000 players will begin a $1 NLH freezeout, 500
players attend the $5 buy-in, $7,500 re-buy/add-on, and 250 players
try their luck in the $15,000 R/A.
Ring games
Cash tables best suited to the player can be easily found if not
by using the quick search feature, by taking advantage of the left
navigation sub menu. That menu divides all the Texas Hold’em,
Omaha and Stud games into general type and subsections them into
blind limits.
At the table
The software here really scores points with smooth, stable action.
Avatars are optional both to display and see others’, plus a
useful choice of other options including side bar, table or no
chat, four colour decks, audio and side game settings.
The organized table layout is easy to get acquainted with. Action
buttons allow players to place bets at pre-set amounts or use the
slider to increase bets, or may enter any bet amount in a text
window (provided limits allow).
There is a dedicated bar of in-play check boxes that gives players
the opportunity to pre-set a betting action if they make an early
decision, plus other common check boxes which allow players to sit
out, fold to any bet and auto-post their blinds.
A tiled (4x4) mini view organises the tables for those who enjoy
multi-tabling, and the site has a very helpful player stats
windows that can be accessed at all times.
