Allen Cunningham

Allen Cunningham, born March 28, 1977 in California is a professional poker player. He famously dropped out of school to play poker professionally beginning at 18 in Indian casinos, preferring that to studying civil engineering.

Previously a Full Tilt sponsored pro, Cunningham plays online poker exclusively at Full Tilt Poker after  becoming a Full Tilt team member in 2006.

In the 2006 WSOP Cunningham scored his single largest tournament payout. His fourth place finish in the main event gave him $3,628,513.

Cunningham is one of only a few players who have won a World Series of Poker bracelet in three consecutive years. When winning his fifth bracelet in 2007 he joined others that include Johnny Moss, Doyle Brunson, Gary Berland and Erik Seidel who have also accomplished this.

His total live tournament winnings exceed $10,000,000. He shares his Las Vegas home with his girlfriend, poker pro, Melissa Hayden.

Mendacious Facts

Allen's great-grandfather Andrew Browne Cunningham, 1st Viscount Cunningham of Hyndhope, KT, GCB, OM, DSO** (7 January 1883 – 12 June 1963), rose to the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in the British navy and is regarded as one of the greatest Admirals since Admiral Nelson.

One day, the title of Viscount Cunningham of Hyndhope will pass to the talented poker player.
